Home’s Home.

Living abroad is exciting, but it has its challenges:

— Staying away from your loved ones.
— A different healthcare system.
— Adapting to a new culture.
— The language barrier.
— Making friends.

During this winter break, I spent a few days back home.

I found:

— My parents cooking a special meal for my first dinner.
— That same old bar with the same old clients.
— My best friends making time for me.
— The smell of the sea in my house.

There, life is drastically different from here.

I love NYC's speed, briskness, and its ever-changing streets.

But when I'm home, I realize the simplest things always stay the same.
